Middlewich Vision

Middlewich Vision is a very successful independent community group which was founded in 2003. Our main aim is to develop Middlewich town to match the ambition and potential of the people who live, work and visit here.

The Vision approach is simple: since 2003 we have carried out a number of consultation exercises and asked local people what they wanted to see changed or improved. The results of the consultations have been converted into robust, achievable action plans. Our brief is to actively seek funds for the projects included in the action plan and pull partners around the table to make it happen.

The Middlewich Vision Action Teams

Our focus throughout 2013–2016 covers three subject areas:

  • Leisure - Open Space Development and Access, Canal side Activity
  • Economy -  Linkages, Town Centre, Markets
  • Community - Destination Middlewich!, Access to information, Quality of Life and Buildings

We have three very proactive Action Teams who strive to ensure that the projects, activities and events listed in the Action Plan are delivered successfully. The groups also work on additional projects as they arise and we continually look at beneficial new ideas. In addition, there are three Sub-Groups who support specific projects and activities of the Vision.

The current members of the three Action Teams and Sub Group can be viewed here:

Do want to become a member of a Middlewich Vision Action Team?

The majority of our Action Team members are volunteers and they bring a wealth of skills to the Vision. Without their valued time many of the projects and activities would not happen. As an Action Group member you would need to commit time to regular meetings and also dedicate a number of practical ‘hands on’ hours. If you are interested in joining one of the three groups and want to work on an exciting range of projects, events or activities call Middlewich Vision for a chat or drop into the office.
