The Partnership is working towards achieving the following Vision for the town; We want to ensure that Middlewich continues to be a thriving town which meets the needs of the local community, attracts visitors and maintains a strong and sustainable economy. In order to achieve this Middlewich Vision has 4 thematic areas that it works through. The Environment:
Mission: To Protect and Preserve the Natural and Built Environment Aims: To enhance, protect and preserve the community’s access to and the quality of the natural environment and the open countryside To support the development and enhancement of the built environment ensuring it is sympathetic to the local character and heritage. Transport and Accessibility
Mission: To develop a Sustainable Transport Infrastructure Aims: To improve and develop traffic management schemes on local roads ensuring the infrastructure of the town meets the requirements of the growing community. To improve and develop the public transport links within the town, to and from the surrounding rural areas and to other towns and cities To provide access to the town and surrounding countryside for pedestrians and cyclists. Mission: To Maintain a strong and Diverse Economy Aims: To regenerate the town centre and create a lively and thriving focus for the town To promote and develop the tourism industry within Middlewich and raise the profile of the town as a tourism destination within Cheshire To support existing businesses while attracting new industries into the area and ensuring the development of suitable workspaces for all businesses Social and Community
Mission: Nurture a Sense of Community Pride and Spirit Aims: To ensure the development of facilities and services which meet the changing needs of the growing community To nurture the sense of community pride and feeling of public safety within Middlewich To break down prejudices and barriers between different sectors of the community and to involve young people in a positive way in the development of the town.
