This exciting opportunity exists for all photographers to take part in the ‘Shaping Middlewich’ project, celebrating the town’s heritage and identity. All winners and finalists pictures will be displayed at the Heritage Marquee on Town Wharf during the Folk and Boat Festival on 20th and 21st June 2009. Prizes for the category winners and overall winner of each group. Theme:- ‘Around Town’ To capture an image of Middlewich and its people by exploring the Towns past and present identity. What image represents the town in today’s society? Categories: - Middlewich Town
- Landscape and Wildlife
- Town Feature (close up)
- Portrait
Age Groups - Children up to the age of 10 years

A new and exciting project... from Middlewich Vision has recently got under way.
‘Tales of Wych & Water’ aims to celebrate the Canal and Salt heritage of Middlewich, concentrating on the effect and relationship between those industries and the surrounding community. To achieve this, `Tales of Wych & Water’ has different components, each carrying a common thread that links it all together. - How have the two industries shaped Middlewich?
